NAVY WOUNDED WARRIOR

Navy Wounded Warrior (NWW) is the Navy’s sole organization for coordinating the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill and injured Sailors and Coast Guardsmen, and providing resources and support to their families. Through proactive leadership, the program provides individually-tailored assistance designed to optimize the success of the wounded warriors’ recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration activities.

Sailors and Coast Guardsmen may self-refer to Navy Wounded Warrior, or be referred by a family member, their command leadership or their medical team.

The challenges that accompany a serious illness or injury can be confusing, frustrating and exhausting for a service member. Navy Wounded Warrior is here to help.

Non-Medical Care

NWW provides support services to wounded warriors recovering from serious illness or injury – beginning at bedside and continuing throughout the rest of their lives.

Transition

Transitioning out of active service is rarely easy, and NWW enrollees and their families often face additional challenges because of their illnesses or injuries.

Adaptive Sports

We help Sailors and Coast Guardsmen with serious, non-combat or combat-related injuries and physical or psychological illnesses.

Sponsorship

We provide families with support services to help make their jobs as caregivers more manageable and alleviate the stress that accompanies a major life change.
